The Pellux Creed

Saddle-stitched entirely by hand

We reject the speed of sewing machines. Every seam is locked with a traditional hand-saddle stitch, creating heirloom-quality leather goods made to age beautifully.

Our Standard

No sewing machines. No shortcuts.

A machine stitch unravels when one loop breaks. Our hand-saddle stitch locks each thread independently, ensuring your companion holds together for a lifetime.

The Process

How Pellux is made

01 / Sourcing

Vegetable-tanned hides

We select full-grain hides from traditional tanneries that use natural plant extracts. This slow, organic process preserves the hide's natural grain and allows a rich patina to mature over time.

02 / Stitching

The saddle stitch

Using two needles and a single piece of waxed linen thread, our artisans hand-stitch every seam. It is a slow, rhythmic discipline that machines simply cannot replicate.

03 / Finishing

Beeswax-burnished edges

We finish every edge by hand-rubbing it with natural beeswax. This traditional burnishing seals the fibers, creating a smooth, durable edge that resists wear and moisture.

Our workshop smells of beeswax, birch bark, and rich hide—exactly how it has for generations. Here, time is measured in stitches, not seconds.
